Vedic Astrology is a time tested practice of understanding and adjusting to the influence of the planets in one’s life
Vedic Astrology is one of the oldest forms of astrology on earth, originating in India thousands of years ago and preserved to this day through ancient texts and teachers who transmit the knowledge unbroken through living lineages.
This system of astrology uses the sidereal zodiac, which accounts for the gradual shift in the earth’s axis over time. This differentiates it from many other systems of astrology (including Western) whose zodiac is no longer accurate to the sky.
Vedic Astrology is also distinguished by its sophisticated methods of timing, predictive power, and remedial measures— which are meant to address difficult planetary karma and improve life circumstances.
Working with prescribed remedies—such a mantra, donation, prayer, puja and gemstones—over time modifies karma and can not only drastically improve one’s experience, but can also lend agency in addressing situations that seem to be outside of one’s control, and can help in understanding how we are situated inside a web of complex influences.
Clients can expect to be met where they are, and to be thoroughly supported by ancient healing techniques that penetrate below surface levels of disturbance.
I consider my work as an astrologer to be one of mediation—between the individual and their personal map of karma which is the horoscope. Orienting someone to this map generally involves discussing their relationship with some of the core areas of life (relationships, health, work, finances, etc) but can include detailed discussion of any aspect of life which is relevant.
Because the horoscope is a map of time, it is useful for digesting past experience, understanding what is present, and planning for the future.
Subjects can range from the very practical to the completely mystical, as the horoscope influences every aspect of experience from the nature of one’s thought to the profession of one’s partner!
Remedial measures are prescribed according to the specific layout of the chart, to alleviate difficult planetary karma or to provide specific support.
